Poison plant soap
Out of stock
This is a hot processed soap with herbs added after saponification has completed. It’s for poison oak / poison ivy / poison sumac and pretty much any other plant that deposits a sticky resin which causes itching (there’s a surprising number of them around). I powdered all the herbs, created an infusion, then added all. There may be small bits of herbs in the soap that will actually scratch the itch as it’s used.
Colloidal oatmeal is soothing, Calendula is said to be anti-inflammatory, sassafras is said to have antiseptic/antibacterial properties, jewelweed is said to combat itch and inflammation, grindelia is considered an antihistamine, white Willow is considered an analgesic, Oregon grape root is considered antibacterial.
